Why can’t I just order online?

JessyPop is an at-home “cottage” bakery based in Virginia, which means we follow specific state rules and regulations. One of those rules is that full online sales (including payment) are not permitted for cottage food businesses.

Because of that, we’re not allowed to have a complete online order form with checkout and payment on our website. Instead, you’ll fill a request form to tell us what you’d like. From there, we’ll:

  1. Confirm availability and details
  2. Finalize your order
  3. Send payment instructions separately

This keeps us fully compliant with Virginia cottage food laws while still making it easy for you to get your JessyPops.

How big are your cake pops?

Our standard size cake pop or cakesicle is 1.6 oz, 2.5″ tall x 1.5″ wide. We do offer additional shapes and sizes as a customization. Let us know what you want, and we’ll do our best to make it happen.

I want my cake pops to match the theme of my event. Do you offer different design options?

Yes, we certainly do. We can use chocolate molds to individually craft embellishments to enhance your design and align with your theme; we can work with you to color match to your specific colors; and we can do our best to incorporate any other design elements that you’d like. Send us a request with as much detail as possible, we’ll confirm what’s possible, and send you a custom quote.

Is my order confirmed once I send my pop request?

No. Your order is confirmed when you pay the 50% deposit via the e-mail invoice we will send you after we align on the order details.

How do I get my pops?

JessyPop pickup and delivery is centered around Barcroft Plaza in Falls Church, Va. If you live within 2 miles of Barcroft Plaza, we’re happy to deliver for free. Within 3-5 miles, we’ll deliver with a $10 delivery fee. Pickup orders will be picked up at an agreed upon time at Barcroft Plaza. We don’t offer pickup from our home. And based on Virginia cottage baker regulations, we are not able to ship our pops.

How long will my pops last?

At room temperature, your pops will be good for 2-3 days. In the fridge, for a week to 10 days. In the freezer, 1-2 months.

How should I take care of my pops?

Your pops will be best at room temperature. If you are going to freeze them, be sure to put them in an air tight container. When you’re ready to enjoy them, take them out of the freezer but keep them in the air tight container. Allow them to come to room temperature while in the air tight container and then serve them.

Why does the QR code on my pop take me to an error page?

When I initially setup the QR code, I used a QR code generator site not realizing it wasn’t free. Now that my free trial is over, I get to pay $320/year for the QR code to work or use a free one. I opted to change the QR code to an actual free one and save the $320/year. My new labels reflect a working (and free) QR code, but previous batches have the labels with the non-working code.
